I am a tutor in Las Vegas, NV, with a true passion for teaching! I have a degree in Communication and Creative Writing, and I have been teaching English Language Arts to middle school students for two years. My education and work have given me insight into the value of one-on-one learning. My appreciation for teaching began long before college. My father was a teacher, and I enjoyed helping him grade papers. Those experiences, combined with my academic pursuits, really drove home the importance of patience, dedication, and hard work to achieve goals. I really enjoy teaching ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Math, Essay Editing, Public Speaking, and Grammar. My goal is to help students understand concepts, and foster the attitude that learning can be fun. I am an avid learner, whether I am teaching, playing tennis, or spending time with my family. I believe each student learns differently, and tutoring should be tailored to cater to the individual's goals and learning style. My lifelong learning helps me relate to my students, and I am always looking for creative ways to help my students learn. I believe by maintaining a positive attitude towards learning, and an unyielding desire to help others achieve success, I can help students maximize their potential.
